I thought I would share some plans I have for the Jeep. For those that don’t know I own a 1998 Jeep Cherokee SE.
When I brought it home from the GSA Auction:
After 6 years of modding here and there:
Its had some work done:
- Rubicon Express 6130 Lift
- 4.10 gears
- 31″ tires
- ARB front locker
- On board air system
- Terra 2 Low conversion
- HD SYE Kit
- Custom ARB Copy front bumper
- Roof rack
- Overhead console with CB
…and probably some other stuff I am forgetting.
Future plans:
Phase 1
- Build a new set of axles hub to hub (D30 & D44)
- Big brake kit for the front, disc conversion for the rear.
- Mid arm front suspension
- Chassis plate/stiffener kit
- good quality shocks
Phase 2
- LS based V8 swap (5.3 LM7 or 6.0 LQ4/9)
- Traction/anti wrap bar(s)
- Long range fuel tank (30+ gal)
Phase 3
- Coil overs front
- Deavers rear
That’s the list. Whether it all happens depends on a lot of factors but I’d like to think its mostly realistic.
